Tokyo MK wanted to streamline its limousine service operations by optimizing taxi booking systems and fleet management. The company emerged in the 1990s and needed software for the first time in 1997 to make calls for their business. Afterwards, they used a few more software programs, but nothing could reach their satisfaction level.
Here, for the first time in 2020, Tokyo MK partnered with us to solve their decentralized system.
The aim Tokyo MK had in mind was to boost user satisfaction, hassle-free reservations, and automated system functionality. The company sought to enhance its user experience along with prompt and trustworthy taxi booking services. Other than these facets, the major goal was to centralize their services into a single platform while maintaining the brand image.
Tokyo MK had been using the old and traditional way of booking and managing the fleet for its customers. This was a prime challenge for the company, as it needed a digital ecosystem. The company was not using any particular software or technology to manage its operations, resulting in a lack of connectivity between internal teams, customers, and the service provider. They had 2 or 3 software programs, but not a uniform software to fulfill all business needs.
Tokyo MK is a veteran company that has been delivering the core user values through its taxi services across the country. There was ample expertise within the team, but there were still no technical people to manage such a huge business from a technical aspect. This barrier was holding them back from exploring more in digital space. It was a challenge for the business to overcome its tech obstacles within the team; they had to outsource.
As Tokyo MK is a Japan-based limousine service provider, they deal across the globe by catering to global clients. When a client is familiar with their regional language, it is a good deal to crack. Still, if there is any kind of language barrier, the company would lose clients due to a lack of stable communication. The communication gap was a pain point for the client; they were unable to expand the business.
The lack of a centralized system was the gist of all the challenges that the client was facing in bringing all their work to a place in an organized manner. There was no in-house system or app to let Tokyo MK assist and operate the business under a roof. Even though there was no digital platform to connect the team internally. There were separate personnel for each responsibility, when a single machine could handle that.
Tokyo MK was dealing with multiple challenges while keeping the fare estimation records. They were managing it either manually or with less functionality. GMTA brought this fare calculation on flexibility by taking it to seamless operations. However, the fare calculation was the same as per the company standard, but the challenge was for us as well to make a fare calculation system as per their business model.

We integrated advanced technologies such as Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis to make their fleet management and garage inventory reliable and unerring. With the help of real-time vehicle tracking, customers and the company can communicate on the same page. The broken vehicle update and maintenance were just a notification away to avoid user dissatisfaction and discrepancy.

We checked with their previous fare algorithm, which was not compact and user-friendly. However, by using a specialized algorithm, we fixed this major issue. By integrating this formula, we could help our client stabilize their revenue records. Alongside, we integrated an accounting formula for multiple functions like driver, user income records, company payroll, etc, in a single system.
We did vigorous research and had a number of meetings with the client to understand their business needs.
The project was taken on to an Agile framework, working into sprints, constant feedback, and prompt improvements.
We use modern technology and regular maintenance to ensure the success of the Tokyo MK app.
The return on investment (ROI) was drastically increased once the client implemented the new software system in their business.
The client experienced more than 55% of customers using their system, thanks to the app's easy and user-friendly navigation services.
