About Client

Sazpay is a fintech startup built around one practical observation — that sending money, paying a merchant, or checking your balance should not feel like work. The client had watched users wrestle with clunky banking apps, slow transfer flows, and payment screens that required too many steps before anything actually happened. Their answer was a wallet product stripped of unnecessary complexity: register, top up, pay or transfer, done.

The scope was broader than a basic mobile wallet. They wanted users to be able to find nearby merchants through the app and pay via QR code at the point of purchase. They wanted a spending analysis dashboard so users could see where their money was going without exporting data to a separate tool. And they needed the admin side to give their operations team real control — not just a read-only view, but the ability to manage wallets, reverse transactions, handle user accounts, and configure system settings without calling a developer.

About Client Gmta

Why Sazpay Chose Us

Sazpay GMTA

Financial applications carry a specific kind of pressure that other app categories don't. When money is involved, a bug isn't an inconvenience — it's a trust-destroying event. The client knew that, and when they were evaluating development partners, their first filter was whether the team had experience with the security and data-integrity requirements that fintech demands. JWT authentication, encrypted API sessions, role-based access controls, transaction logging — these weren't optional features to them.

They had looked at white-label e-wallet solutions and found them wanting. Most offered basic transfer functionality but lacked the QR payment flow, the merchant discovery layer, and the spending analytics they had in their product brief. Adapting a white-label product to cover those gaps would have meant building the complex parts anyway, on top of a codebase they didn't own or fully understand. Starting custom-made made more sense.

Building a Digital Wallet or Payment Platform Like Sazpay?

We help fintech startups build secure, full-featured digital wallet platforms with iOS, Android, web interfaces, and admin panels — including QR payments, merchant discovery, spending analytics, and role-based operations.

Our Approach

Security Architecture Defined First, Not Last

Security Architecture Defined First, Not Last

Before any screen designs were drawn or any API endpoints were mapped out, we documented the security model. Which data fields needed encryption at rest, which needed encryption in transit, and which needed both. How JWT tokens would be issued, validated, and invalidated. What the audit log would record for every financial operation and who could access it. Setting this down in writing at the start of the project meant that security wasn't a layer added at the end — it was a constraint that every subsequent design and development decision was made against.

Four Platforms, One API Contract 02

Four Platforms, One API Contract

iOS, Android, the web client, and the admin panel all consume the same Laravel API. We wrote the API contract — every endpoint, its inputs, its outputs, its error states — before any of the four surfaces went into development. This meant each development stream could proceed in parallel without blocking each other and without discovering integration surprises late in the project. It also meant that when QA ran end-to-end scenarios, the behaviour was consistent across all four surfaces because they were all calling the same logic.

Role-Based Admin Panel with Full Operational Controls 03

Role-Based Admin Panel with Full Operational Controls

The admin panel was built with a role hierarchy: super admin, finance admin, and support agent. Each role had a precisely defined scope of what it could view and what it could action. Support agents could view account details and flag issues. Finance admins could process dispute adjustments and manage merchant records. Super admins had full system access including configuration changes. Every action taken in the panel — regardless of role — was written to the audit log with a timestamp, user, and a record of what changed.

Merchant Map With Smart Clustering and Fast Load

Merchant Map With Smart Clustering and Fast Load

The merchant discovery map used cluster grouping for dense areas so the interface didn't become cluttered when a user was in a commercial district with many registered merchants nearby. Tapping a cluster expanded it into individual merchant pins. Each merchant card showed the name, category, distance, and a direct button to initiate a QR payment. The merchant database was kept current through the admin panel, where the Sazpay team could add, edit, or deactivate merchant records, with changes propagating to the map in real time.

Depth Security Research

Before writing a single line of code, we conducted extensive security research to understand fintech compliance needs, fraud patterns, and emerging payment trends. This helped us validate the client's vision and define features that would resonate with both users and regulators alike across surfaces.

  • Security threat modeling
  • Compliance benchmarking
  • Role requirement gathering
  • Feature prioritization
